Representatives of the workers of Atlántica de Handling warn that the aerodromes of the islands will be "partially paralyzed" on November 27, December 1, 3 and 4, due to the "lack of will of the management to end the abusive, undignified and precarious working conditions suffered by the subrogated personnel".
Intersindical Canaria has presented a strike notice for the personnel of Atlántica de Handling, calling on workers to hold successive stoppages on November 27, December 1, 3 and 4, according to a press release.
Thus, the handling service of Binter Canarias at the airports of all the islands "will be partially paralyzed" on the aforementioned days, because the company's management has not shown "willingness to end the abusive, undignified and precarious working conditions suffered by the subrogated personnel, who fulfill their mission to full capacity".
Intersindical recalls that it has been demanding these improvements for months and that, in July, it called off the pre-announced strike "as a sign of good faith, in view of the company's management's promises to provide a prompt solution to the matter".
The union argues that "the delaying tactics of the company's management have exhausted the patience of the workers who have no other choice but to exercise their constitutional right to strike, in defense of their labor interests", for which they have presented the corresponding notice.
The staff of Atlántica de Handling assures that "they sincerely regret the inconvenience that will be caused to passengers who have to fly on those days, to whom they apologize, but they trust that they will understand the justice of the reasons that motivate this strike, the consequences of which are solely the responsibility of the company's management, due to its attitude that is absolutely closed to all dialogue".
