The Canary Islands Health Service has put out to tender the work to remodel the General Surgery Unit of the Molina Orosa Hospital in Arrecife. These works, which will have an execution period of 6 months, have a maximum budget of 772,105 euros, excluding IGIC, and will affect the second floor of the hospital center. 

According to the announcement published this Tuesday by the Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands, the deadline to submit offers for this award by open procedure will be 26 calendar days, counting from this Wednesday. To award this work of "installations and conditioning", the economic offer will be taken into account mainly, which may receive a maximum of 70 points, but also the improvements that are proposed, valued at a maximum of 30 points.

According to the specifications, the works planned on this floor of the hospital, which is for hospitalization, include, among others, the creation of new dependencies in the nursing work area and an attached warehouse, in the supervision area, with a warehouse next to it, a room for the data network "rack", the adaptation of a toilet for the disabled in one of the rooms and the remodeling of the toilets of others and a false ceiling in the nursing control area. 

In addition, the walls in corridors and rooms will be covered and impact protection strips will be installed in corridors, the carpentry will be replaced and the electricity installations will be completely renovated in low voltage, fire protection, air conditioning, medical gases, special installations and structured cabling, according to the specifications.

As for the improvements that will be taken into account to award the work, diverse aspects are included, such as including medical equipment such as a portable defibrillator, a steam sterilizer, a hydraulic stretcher and other issues such as the elimination of the textured paint on the walls or the replacement of the pavement.
