The imminent approval of the Job Position List (RPT) in the Cabildo in an extraordinary plenary session that seems to be taking place in the coming days has not pleased some employees. At least this is what emerges from the meeting held on Monday afternoon between the workers who currently have some kind of conflict with the Cabildo belonging to the fire brigade, the health and social services personnel, the workers of the Tourist Centers and employees of the Conservatory of Music.
In a first contact, the representatives of these four sectors agreed to initiate a collection of signatures whose purpose is to leave the RPT on the table "until it has greater consensus", explained Andrés Pérez, spokesman for the firefighters. Thus, although this group is included in the document, they consider that it raises other problems such as the fact that their allegations have not been included.
Another of the points with which these groups disagree is that, according to their data, some 700 workers are left out of the Job Position List. A figure that, according to Andrés Pérez, represents practically half of the staff of the Island Corporation.
The representatives of these groups will have more meetings in which they will delve into their different problems and try to improve their current situation.
