Clever-Iberia workers in Lanzarote will not go on strike. Although they were going to sign the strike notice this Monday, the company has finally decided to renounce the 14 dismissals that it intended to carry out, so the employees will not carry out any protest.

This was confirmed this Monday on Radio Lanzarote by the general secretary of Workers' Commissions on the island, Vicky Sande, who was "very happy" that the company had withdrawn these dismissals. "It is a battle that the workers have won with unity and reason", she assured.

The president of the Works Council, Juan Luzardo, explained that this Monday he met at about 1:30 p.m. with the company, which notified him that they were withdrawing the employment termination file. After that, he attended the meeting of the Committee, which decided to withdraw the point of the strike notice. "We left it without effect because it no longer made sense", he indicated.

"Not having to go on strike on these dates is great, because the ones who like the strike the least are the workers, it's a very bad time", he pointed out. After this agreement, the handling staff at Lanzarote airport will not go on strike.
