César Reyes has won the primaries held this Sunday, October 18, in the local committee of Tías. Reyes has obtained 51 votes compared to the 28 obtained by Juan Félix Eugenio, the other candidate.
Of the census of 92 members in Tías, the second largest socialist group on the Island after Arrecife, 79 members voted. Reyes is committed to "the total renovation of the party in Tías with new ideas and faces to regain the trust of the citizens".
The primaries have been developed with total normality. The polls opened at 4:00 p.m. and remained open until 8:00 p.m. The municipality of Tías is the only one on the island that held primaries this Sunday since in Teguise only one candidate has been presented, José Brito, and Arrecife and the Cabildo have been postponed to November 30.
At the same time, votes have been cast in all the local committees of the island to vote for one of the three candidates for the presidency of the Canary government, Gustavo Matos, Patricia Hernández and Carolina Darias.
