Socialist Celeste Callero has become the new island director of Education in Lanzarote, replacing Mario Pérez, from Coalición Canaria, in the position.
As confirmed by the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands, Celeste Callero's appointment took place last week and, in fact, she has already taken office, although the regional Executive had not reported it.
Celeste Callero occupied the seventh position on the list headed by socialist Eva de Anta in the elections to the Arrecife City Council on May 26 and is part of the PSOE Executive in Arrecife, where she is Secretary of Education. In addition, she is the deputy director of the IES Agustín Espinosa in the capital.
