Coalición Canaria will ask the Government group for explanations on the Cabildo's proposal to modify the location of the Immigrant Internment Center that was planned in Güimes and has been moved to an area of the Zonzamas therapeutic community, on land belonging to the Island Corporation and located within the municipality of Arrecife. The nationalists oppose the First Institution ceding the land, and its construction in the capital, and will ask the Government group to take a position regarding the statements of the president of the Cabildo, Manuela Armas, in the next plenary session of the City Council.

Apparently, and according to CC, the land for this new location is classified as "rustic" and is owned by the Cabildo. According to Luis Morales, spokesperson for the party in the capital Consistory, the mayor, Enrique Pérez Parilla, "who is characterized by excessive tranquility", should clarify this classification, since it "is an important work of more than 7,000 square meters". In addition to clarifying whether, in the event of having knowledge of the new location, an agreement has been reached between the City Council and the Cabildo.

Luis Morales maintains that the position of Coalición Canaria is clear and they will defend that the land is state-owned and outside the capital, "since Arrecife has been quite supportive in this regard, because it already has two centers for immigrant minors". "We have been and are in agreement with the construction of this center in Lanzarote", but the nationalists consider that the most suitable place is the airport land, owned by the State, which is located in the vicinity of Guacimeta.
