The opposition in the Cabildo (Nationalist Group CC-PNC and Popular Party Group) imposes its majority in the Finance Committee held this Wednesday, February 15 and all the amendments for an amount of more than 7 million euros, presented to the Budget project for the year 2023 (16 from CC-PNC and 8 from PP) have been favorably ruled.
"This situation, totally surreal, is given because there is a member of the government, Juan Manuel Sosa, who still belongs to one of the opposition groups, by imposition of the Plenary with the vote of the defector himself, which evidences the existence of an unprecedented case of defection, as far as is known, in the entire Spanish State", criticize CC and PP.
"That is why", they point out from the Nationalist Group "that in the commissions it is the opposition that has the majority with 12 councilors (8 from CC-PNC, Sosa included, and 4 from PP), compared to the minority government of the PSOE of Dolores Corujo and Podemos, protected by a defector who is being paid with public money."
CC and PP do not rule out "the challenge of the budget, submitted to a vote and rejected by the Commission, if this is finally the one that goes ahead in the Plenary; a project that the president presented in a cafeteria to the media and public opinion, before the opposition, and that does not incorporate the amendments previously favorably ruled".
In this way, "it is not fulfilled with what CC and PP understand is an obligation that arises from a logical interpretation of the procedure established in article 2.35 of the Corporation Regulations, when it says: (...) “In the event that amendments have been presented, the General Secretariat of the Plenary will send the file with the amendments to the corresponding Plenary Commission, which will proceed to report on it with a proposal for a resolution in the sense of rejecting or accepting them (...) In said meeting (...) the corresponding opinion of the general Budget will be issued”", concludes the Nationalist Group.
