Popular deputy Ástrid Pérez has accused the Minister of Public Administrations, Justice and Equality of the Government of the Canary Islands, Julio Pérez, of being a "misogynist" and an "impertinent" during a parliamentary appearance on immigration after calling her 'ignorant'.
The deputy has directed these qualifications to the councilor as a result of the latter having criticized the "extraordinary ignorance", the "simplification" and the "great errors" committed by Ástrid Pérez during her presentation in the commission, when thinking that the political sign of a certain government produces an increase or decrease in immigration.
"With all due respect, you are a misogynist," said Astrid Pérez, who indicated that she has been watching for two years how the councilor addresses in Parliament "all the women" who are in the opposition groups calling them "continuously and systematically ignorant and that they do not study".
"You are an impertinent. You are a misogynist," insisted the deputy, who assured that she has never heard the councilor say that to any man. "Look, there are men who say nonsense in this Parliament, you first, and I have not seen anyone who has disrespected you or called you ignorant when you say many ignorances," she said.
Pérez reiterated that she has been "putting up with" Julio Pérez calling her and other deputies "ignorant, absurd, stupid, that we do not study" for two years, when he "does not treat" men like that. "I am not going to allow it and you are not going to shut me up with your impertinence and your rudeness",
