Agents of the Local Police of Tías arrested Julio R.G, a 32-year-old South American, on Sunday afternoon, accused of a crime of theft.
The events occurred in a premises in the commercial area of Tías, where two people entered with a baby stroller, "adorned with items typical of it", according to the Local Police, "to then, without anyone noticing, access a small office inside the establishment".
There, they seized a safe with "a significant sum of money in cash" and left the premises, although they were detected there and the employees themselves began a chase. After traveling several hundred meters, the assailants abandoned their loot and fled, although one of them was later arrested by the Local Police, as the alleged perpetrator of these events.
According to the agents, the detainee was hiding in a bar on the outskirts of the town and after the instruction of the appropriate procedures, he has already been placed at the disposal of the court, while the search for the other person continues.
