The Arrecife City Council is immersed in defining the lines of action to improve the accessibility and mobility of the CEIP Argana Alta within the projects for the elimination of architectural barriers in the facilities of the different schools in the capital, the

With that objective, the mayor, Yonathan de León and the Councilor for Education, Abigail González, have visited the educational center, accompanied by the technicians of Education and Public Works, to know the details and evaluate the most immediate interventions.

Among these, the management of the center has transferred the need to build access ramps to the Secretariat and the three-year-old classrooms, repair the fences, change the gate and accessibility works to the center by Alonso Quesada street and divide one of the classrooms to achieve greater operability.

The mayor has stated that one of his priorities is "to make the city accessible, and among them, to improve the public educational facilities of Infant and Primary education in the municipality, executing new works so that students and teachers with reduced mobility can have adapted centers." The Department of Public Works supports the Education Area for the execution of these necessary works.

For her part, Abigail González has emphasized that in addition to the aforementioned works, "at this time there is an approved and awarded shade plan that will be implemented in all centers and that includes the installation of pergolas in the different schoolyards".

Likewise, the councilor highlighted that with the CEIP Argana Alta the works to change and modernize the windows of all the schools in the municipality with aluminum carpentry are finished.

The Arrecife City Council reminds the Educational Community that the improvements in secondary education centers correspond to the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands all the reforms and improvements in their facilities.
