The Arrecife City Council has closed a nightclub, located on Triana Street, for "lacking authorization" or enabling title to operate as such. This was reported by the council in a statement issued this Tuesday. The decision to close the premises was approved and ratified during the plenary session held this past Monday in the capital.
In the file processed by the Classified Activities Area, until this Monday under the direction of Councilor Juanjo López, and with procedures carried out during the previous term, it is detailed “the instruction of the sanctioning file for infraction of Law 7/2011, of April 5, on Classified Activities and Public Shows and other Complementary Administrative Measures, regarding the activity of a Discotheque, located at Triana Street 11, which, once the database of the Activities Department in this City Council is consulted, lacks the enabling title for the development of the aforementioned activity.”
The Local Police of Arrecife carried out an inspection on April 25, 2023, and the sanctioning file was opened by the Classified Activities Area the following day, April 26, where the physical person of activity without a license is considered responsible, for their participation in the events (their name is cited in the file). Within the period provided by Law, the owner did not make allegations. The Law establishes that the development of this discotheque activity, lacking authorization, has a legal classification of very serious.
