The Plenary Hall of the Arrecife City Council has been the setting chosen for the election of the logo that the capital of the island will have. A total of 160 works were presented from different places such as Gran Canaria, La Palma, Valencia, Barcelona, Madrid, Asturias or Murcia.

Finally, the winning work was "Zury", whose author is the company Medianisonline S.L. The winning image represents the most relevant characteristics of Arrecife, taking into account its expansion, maritime activity or tradition. The Puente de las Bolas is a recognized and symbolic element of Arrecife with historical roots, it is the gateway to the capital and a link with the sea.

According to the City Council, "the colors of the logo represent a multicolored Arrecife. The orange color shows the sand of the beach, the sun, its urban diversity and the constant growth that give Arrecife a cheerful characteristic, full of vitality and an atmosphere of warmth. The blues, one dark and the other lighter, recall the harmony between the sky and the sea, with the counterpoint of a lemon green, a symbol of modernity and technology that look towards the future."

The jury was composed of the mayor of Arrecife, Enrique Pérez Parrilla; the Councilor for Tourism, Alberto Morales Betancort; technician of the Arrecife City Council, Magdalena Morales de León; official of the Arrecife City Council, José Antonio Fernández Ramos and the secretary and official of the Arrecife City Council, María Elena Martín Martín.

The Department of Tourism of the Arrecife City Council, coordinated by Alberto Morales, congratulates the winner of the work and thanks everyone for participating in this event, which has currently become the contest with the most participation that the City Council of the capital has had.
