Andoni Machín will finally replace Carlos Cejudo after his resignation as councilor in the Teguise City Council.
Machín occupied number nine on the Coalición Canaria list, but the two previous ones, Sara Bermúdez and Daniel Morales, have also resigned from their positions. It should be remembered that Sara Bermúdez is currently working in the Ministry of Culture, Universities and Science and Innovation and Morales is the Director of Youth of the Government of the Canary Islands.
For now, it is unknown if Machín will take take the same areas as Cejudo, who directed the departments of Sociocultural Centers and Transport, or if the mayor will take the opportunity to remodel areas.
Carlos Cejudo resigned on September 12 and, according to the local secretary of CC, Javier Díaz, “the colleague Carlos has demonstrated great responsibility and dedication since he assumed his position after the May 2023 elections. Until now he has been combining his professional activity with his responsibilities in the Consistory, something we will always appreciate.”
