The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) will maintain this Wednesday the orange alert for temperatures up to 37 degrees in Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote and will reduce to yellow the warning for maximum temperatures of 34 degrees in southern areas located below 700 meters in La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro.

Aemet predicts that the north wind will replace the African east winds from Wednesday, at which time the usual temperatures of the Archipelago will return.

The skies will show few clouds on the Islands with intervals of high clouds in general, tending in low areas of the north of the western islands to cloudy intervals. The wind will blow from the north component weak to moderate and in midlands and summits will be from the east component weak to moderate.
