A Ryanair flight was diverted to Fuerteventura this Wednesday due to weather problems at Guacimeta airport. The pilot decided to land on the neighboring island, given the wind and poor visibility at the Lanzarote aerodrome.
The flight, bound for Lanzarote, had departed from Shannon and was scheduled to land on the island at 12:20 p.m. However, according to reports from the Aena press office, the pilot finally decided not to enter the Lanzarote airport and diverted the plane to Fuerteventura around 12:56 p.m.
Later, and when the sky began to clear, the plane returned to Lanzarote and the passengers reached their destination.
This same Tuesday, the Lanzarote airport also registered incidents due to bad weather. On that occasion, a total of five flights had to be diverted to Fuerteventura.
