The position of auditor of the Arrecife City Council, which has been vacant since the imprisonment of Carlos Sáenz, already has a possible candidate. It is [Martina Taaroa Manteiga->http://www.fotoplatino.com/fp6941], who has shown her interest in this position and this Friday held a first meeting with the mayor, Manuel Fajardo Feo, and the first deputy mayor, José Montelongo.
The official has a degree in Economics and Business Administration and passed the Intervention exams, but it is her other facet, that of a model, that has led her to occupy space in the media several times. In fact, her photos fill Internet pages and she was even named [in an article in La Voz de Galicia->http://www.lavozdegalicia.es/noticia/sociedad/2012/09/16/imagen-choca-vuelta-redes/0003_201209SX16P23991.htm] as "the sexiest civil servant in Spain".
In that same report, carried out last September, Martina Manteiga spoke about the prejudices that her activity as a model can arouse: "Because I practice modeling, dress in a certain way and like to pose, many people assume an image of superficiality that they believe is at odds with the position of auditor".
Miss Burgos and "Girl of the Week"
However, she also added that "in no city council" did they "say anything for being a model and auditor". "I am serious and I don't hurt anyone. They cannot assess your work of controlling the legality and the economic-financial supervision of a consistory with your modeling work", she declared in that interview.
Martina Manteiga has worked as an auditor in several city councils and even spent some time in the Canary Islands, as auditor of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council.
Afterwards, she returned to Galicia and, in addition to working in several consistories, she obtained a permanent position in the Valdoviño City Council. And all this, while parading, attending beauty contests and participating in photo shoots.

"I try to fulfill my dream"
On a website dedicated to the promotion of models, Martina Manteiga herself has opened a blog in which she introduces herself: "I am a model of Maori-Hispanic descent who has a lot to learn, because she dedicated a lot of time to training in another profession and now, with life settled on the other hand, I try to fulfill my dream in the world of fashion".
In addition, her own Facebook account and other Internet pages collect [images with some of her poses->http://www.fotoplatino.com/fp6941], many of them "bordering on eroticism", as she herself defined them. "I consider the human body as something natural," she told La Voz de Galicia.
In that interview, she also spoke of her interest in tropical countries and even dreamed aloud of "requesting a leave of absence and going to live in French Polynesia". Today, four months later, this official could be close to leaving her native Galicia to move, at least, to a warmer climate, that of Lanzarote. However, that will depend on the outcome of the conversations she has already started with the Arrecife City Council.
Currently, a Consistory worker is accidentally performing the position of auditor, since the City Council had not until now found a qualified national official who was willing to occupy this position.
In the event that Martina Manteiga finally decides to formally apply for this position, after the meetings she was going to hold this Friday with different departments of the Arrecife City Council, the corresponding authorization must be requested from the Public Function.
