16 Arrecife City Council workers demand that Andrés Barreto refrain from making disparaging comments about their work

A group of 16 workers from the Arrecife City Council have demanded, through a letter, that the mayor of Arrecife, Isabel Déniz, ask the councilor of Alternativa Ciudadana Andrés Barreto to "refrain from making derogatory comments regarding the work done by the officials of this City Council".

The employees consider that the councilman has committed disrespectful acts towards their work "questioning in each plenary session the reports issued". In addition, in the letter the workers thank the mayor "for the defense she gave us in the last plenary session".

Faced with these accusations, the councilman of Alternativa Ciudadana assured that nobody is going to cut his freedom of expression and that he considers that he has not offended the officials. For this reason, he asked that a commission be constituted in which the signatories of the document explain why they have felt offended.
