The former President of the Government, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero and his wife Sonsoles Espinosa are enjoying a few days of rest in Lanzarote taking advantage of the holidays.
Apparently the couple would have landed last Friday on the island and could stay on the island until next Tuesday coinciding with the May Day holiday.
The marriage has always expressed its predilection for Lanzarote, in fact, being president of the Spanish Government, he chose the island twice to enjoy his August holidays with his family in La Mareta.
Zapatero has praised the island of volcanoes on repeated occasions and has stressed the "hospitable" character of its people. The wife of the former president, Sonsoles Espinosa, was also last February and is also in love with the island where she can practice one of her favorite sports, scuba diving.
