Yellow warning activated for strong wind this Wednesday in Lanzarote

The State Meteorological Agency predicts that there will be maximum gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated the yellow warning for strong winds in Lanzarote for this Wednesday.

As predicted by Aemet, there will be maximum gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour, mainly affecting the time slot between 08:00 in the morning and 19:59 in the afternoon.

It has also predicted that the wind will blow from the southeast and that it will mainly affect the western slope of the island.

For this Tuesday, temperatures between 15 and 21 degrees are expected, as well as east winds of up to 40 kilometers per hour on average during the morning. The wind will decrease until it reaches 25 kilometers per hour later in the evening.

For Wednesday, the expected average gusts are around 30 kilometers per hour in a southwest direction.

For its part, the State Meteorological Agency ended the pre-alert for winds that affected the islands of El Hierro, La Palma, La Gomera, Tenerife and Gran Canaria during the weekend.
