The southeast wind that is hitting the island this Tuesday has caused yellow and red flags to be raised on practically all the island's beaches. According to the Security and Emergency Consortium, the only beach where, for now, the green flag is flying is El Reducto in Arrecife.

In Puerto del Carmen, the red flag has been raised on its four beaches, Los Pocillos, Matagorda, Playa Chica and Playa Grande, while in Teguise the yellow flag has been raised in Las Cucharas, El Jablillo, Playa Bastián and Los Charcos, and the red flag in Famara and the beaches of La Graciosa.

The yellow flag has also been raised on the beach of the town of Playa Blanca and on Playa Flamingo, with no data provided for Playa de Papagayo as there is no surveillance at this time of year, as is the case with Playa de Guacimeta in Playa Honda. On the beaches of Haría, the yellow flag flies in La Garita de Arrieta and the red flag in Playa de la Cantería de Órzola.

According to Aemet, wind gusts of up to 60 kilometers per hour could be recorded in Lanzarote this Tuesday. The southeast wind, which will be moderate, will be more intense in the interior and on the west coast and La Graciosa and will tend to be northeast from weak to moderate in the afternoon-night. On Wednesday, the wind is expected to be from the east with strong gusts of around 40 or 50 kilometers per hour, with the possibility of some occasional light rain in the morning.
