Ulises and Gloria, the couple who have been fighting for two years to prevent the Canary Islands Government from taking away the child they had fostered, denounce that they have been "snatched" the child "in a bad way in a "lock-up".

As the foster father himself explained to La Voz, this week they were in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria carrying out psychological reports requested by the judge to the child, as well as to the foster and biological parents. "They took advantage of the last one to take him away", says Ulises.

According to him, on Wednesday, when everything happened, "something strange was smelled before starting." "I saw secret police, and four of them put us in a room, locked us up and took the opportunity to take the child away," says Ulises, who maintains that they took him away while he shouted "dad and mom".

"We are devastated and desperate," adds Ulises, who says that the child was taken to a foster center on the Island. "Taking a child who knows nothing but happiness to a foster center is very strong", he laments.

The couple remains in Gran Canaria trying to contact the Canary Islands Government to deliver the child's clothes and belongings. "They took him away without anything, without his clothes, without his belongings, and we are trying to take his bottles and things, because he is dependent on them," claims Ulises, who assures that "there is no way" to do it because the regional Executive "doesn't want to know anything."

Meanwhile, the foster parents are still awaiting the response of the different appeals they have filed with the Constitutional Court and also with Europe. "It cannot be delayed much, because what is happening is an odyssey", he concludes.
