Two tourists who arrived on the island this Wednesday have been isolated while waiting for PCR tests to be carried out, after it was detected at the airport that one of them had a fever. These are two brothers who have landed in Lanzarote on a flight from Bologna, in Italy.

As explained by the Ministry of Health, the two have been transferred by ambulance to the Emergency Department of the Hospital to carry out the test. Afterwards, they went to an apartment, where they must remain isolated until they have the results.

Temperature taking is not being done at the airports of origin, although in Lanzarote it is done in the arrivals area, with Red Cross personnel. It was in that control where fever was detected in one of the two young people, which led to the activation of the protocol established in the event of a suspected case of coronavirus.
