The #Creaencasa contest, organized by the Veintinueve Trece Cultural Association in collaboration with the Youth Service of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, already has the winning works. The prize in the Junior category, from 12 to 17 years old, went to Aitana de Marcelo Moreno, with the illustration "13 calle de la lapa"; while the winner of the Master category, from 18 to 30 years old, was Matteo Mascolo, with the video "Manrique/ Covid-19".

The area councillor, Paula Corujo, has conveyed an "enormous joy" for the great participation of young people in this contest and has congratulated the winners "for the prize and for the high quality of their works", as well as all those who have participated, "because they have demonstrated an enormous talent and creative and artistic concern through the visual arts".

Likewise, Veintinueve Trece thanks all the people who participated and say they are "very satisfied with the number of proposals received and for being able to support the youth of Lanzarote and La Graciosa through these small actions".

The jury, composed of Daniel Jordán, Estefanía Camejo and Víctor G. Moreno, had the task of evaluating more than 90 proposals received in both categories. "Originality and creativity were the determining factors when it came to the decision", they highlight from the Cabildo. The prize is a tablet for the winner of the 'Junior' category and a laptop for the winner of the 'Master' category.

The councillor added that the contest, which was aimed at young people from Lanzarote and La Graciosa between 12 and 30 years old, was convened with the aim of having them express their talent during the quarantine period due to Covid-19 and has been a success, "as almost a hundred very original works with great artistic quality have been presented". "This encourages us to continue collaborating with contests of this type to promote the artistic expression of young people from Lanzarote and La Graciosa", added the councillor.
