The south of the island is celebrating. The town crier Manuel Concepción Pérez kicked off the festivities in honor of Our Lady of Los Remedios this Friday, which are celebrated in the municipality of Yaiza. This act took place at 8:30 p.m. at the Benito Pérez Armas House of Culture, where a large part of the Municipal Corporation came.
After this resident of the municipality officially kicked off the festivities, the residents moved to the Plaza de Nuestra Señora de Los Remedios to enjoy a rock concert. Thus, they had the opportunity to listen to the songs of the groups "El Perro del bombo" and "Maldito Zurdo".
On the first day of these festivities, which will culminate on Sunday, September 11, an exhibition of paintings by Francisco Ortiz Elguea-Díaz was also inaugurated, as well as a sample of wine labels by Daniel González Eugenio.
