The Tías City Council presents the poster for the 2023 Carnival, "a very colorful illustration design dedicated to the adventures of pirates and with references to different spaces in the municipality." The winner of the contest is Rubén Lucas García, graphic designer and photographer from Murcia.
The mayor, José Juan Cruz, and the Councilor for Festivities, Sergio García, congratulate the winner and highlight the "great work reflected in his illustration" called “Alegría” and framed in a sea with a pirate ship in which buccaneers and corsairs appear together with clowns and emblematic buildings of the municipality, in addition to some sculptures and signs of identity of the municipal term.
The rules of the 2023 Carnival poster contest, with the allegorical theme “Pirates of Puerto del Carmen”, were published on November 8 and the period for receiving works ended on December 16. The result of this contest, which established a single prize of 700 euros, is the indicated poster.
The Puerto del Carmen Carnival 2023 will take place from February 23 to 26 in the Plaza del Varadero and on the Avenida de las Playas.
