The tenth edition of the Saborea Lanzarote Enogastronomic Festival will be held on November 25 and 26 of this month in the Villa de Teguise. On the occasion of its celebration, the president of the Cabildo, Oswaldo Betancort, described it as "the most ambitious in the history of this festival, because this year we set a milestone in our work to promote the gastronomy of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, and in its positioning as a renowned culinary destination at a regional, national and international level".

During the presentation of the event, which took place this morning in the convent of Santo Domingo de la Villa de Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort pointed out that "Saborea Lanzarote aims for the island to be the epicenter of Macaronesian gastronomy." He also added that "it has positioned itself as an integral platform that promotes collaboration between people and sectors within this relevant activity, even improving the competitiveness of our economy, the attractions of our offer and creating a unique experience."

For all these reasons, he pointed out, the festival constitutes "a clear example of our commitment to the island and its development in which we have been working for almost 15 years to promote the circular economy and consolidate it as an extraordinary bet that strengthens us as a first-class tourist and enogastronomic destination."

Oswaldo Betancort and the Councilor of the Tourist Centers, Ángel Vázquez, as co-organizer of the event, thanked the presence and collaboration of the Teguise City Council, with Olivia Duque at the head, as well as the president of the Regulatory Council DO Vinos de Lanzarote, Víctor Díaz, and Mame Martinón as representative of the Lanzarote Chamber of Commerce.

A festival born in 2010

Saborea Lanzarote celebrates its tenth anniversary this year, although its beginnings date back to 2010. After three years without being held, Saborea Lanzarote returns with more force than ever to the Historic Site of the Villa de Teguise and with an extensive program of activities.

The event will have different spaces, which include, in addition to the Canary Islands stand, a Saborea España space and another Saborea Atlántico Medio space, in which Porto will be the guest city and will have four restaurants, two of them with Michelin stars.

To these will be added La Casa and the Canary Product Market, a space where you can take a tour through a tunnel of wine and cheese from the Canary Islands, with the presence of a winery and an association of cheese makers from each island.

In addition, there will be Wine, Cheese and other local product Classrooms that will have great names from national and international cuisine as guests.

You can also enjoy the Aula del Gusto, which will host more than ten sessions and where you can count on the most prestigious faces of national gastronomy, from the Canary Islands, with the Padrón Brothers, with two Michelin stars, to the national, with Jordi Cruz, with three stars, among others.
