The residents of the 80 homes in the seaside neighborhood of Valterra have also inaugurated their Nativity Scene, installed in the gardens located inside the building, and which can be visited by anyone who wishes to do so.
The inaugural event was presided over by the parish priest of Valterra, Nicanor Bermúdez, who encouraged the residents to continue preserving such a deeply rooted tradition in which the birth of Jesus is represented.
The neighbor of the neighborhood, Ana Vizcaíno, explained how the Nativity Scene is made with the collaboration of the residents, who each year contribute money to add more figures to it. Ana Vizcaíno also highlighted the involvement of grandmothers and mothers, who take the dolls and toys of their daughters and granddaughters and make them shepherdess and sailor dresses to place them in the Nativity Scene, which has also had the collaboration of some neighbors who, with much art and patience, have made scale models with perfect finishes.
In the central access corridor to the Nativity Scene, an original Christmas tree and garlands with Christmas motifs designed by the residents themselves have also been installed. All people who want to visit the Nativity Scene can do so at any time of the day and will be well received by the neighbors, who will be happy to tell them all the ins and outs of how the Nativity Scene was made.
