The increase in active cases of covid on the island is beginning to be reflected in the Molina Orosa Hospital. Thus, in the plant enabled for the disease there are currently ten patients admitted, after five entries on Tuesday. Therefore, there are seven more patients than a week ago, when only there were three people admitted to this plant.
According to data provided by the Lanzarote Health Area, these are six men and four women, aged between 40 and 80 years old, although most of them are between 50 and 60 years old. In addition, they point out that three of those admitted are tourists who were visiting the island.
For its part, the hospital's ICU has been emptied, after the death of the 56-year-old man who was admitted. With this death, Lanzarote has now accumulated a total of 53 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
