The haze adds to the heat for this weekend in Lanzarote

The suspended dust will reduce visibility to 3,000 meters, according to the State Meteorological Agency

The haze will join the high temperatures that are going to arrive for the weekend in Lanzarote, as predicted by the State Meteorological Agency, which has activated the yellow warning from this Saturday.

For this Saturday, September 30th, it is expected that the haze will mainly affect the inland areas and slopes facing southeast throughout the day and will reduce visibility to 3,000 meters. Regarding Sunday, October 1st, the suspended dust will affect again, informs Aemet. Also, minimizing that visibility to 3,000 meters.

As for the temperatures, they will rise, especially in the interior and southeast, areas where they will exceed 30 degrees and could reach up to 32 degrees. This phenomenon, according to the Canary Islands Ministry of Health, may last until Wednesday, October 4th, at which point temperatures would begin to drop.

According to Aemet, temperatures will rise again next weekend.
