The Government of the Canary Islands establishes the pre-alert for high temperatures in Lanzarote

Aemet reports a yellow warning for the rise in thermometer up to 34 degrees for this Wednesday

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has reported that Lanzarote is on yellow alert for adverse phenomena due to high temperatures from Wednesday, July 12.

The island expects to reach 34 degrees, with between 40% and 70% probability, affecting more likely in inland areas. Precisely the increase in temperatures has led the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands, based on the prediction of Aemet, to declare the pre-alert situation in Lanzarote and the other seven Canary Islands for this Monday.

The pre-alert situation will be extended from noon this Monday until 11 am this Tuesday, according to 1-1-2 in a statement. While the yellow warning of the Aemet will be maintained until 8:00 pm this Wednesday.
