The first two years of Primary school at CEIP Guenia, in Guatiza, will be split at the request of the families. This has been confirmed to La Voz by sources from the Ministry of Education of the Government of the Canary Islands.
The request, which was sent on Monday morning to the General Directorate of Educational Planning, Inclusion and Innovation and disseminated this Tuesday in the press, has been answered favorably.
In their writing, the families estimated that joining students from two different years and with boys and girls with specific educational support needs and others with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) did not allow "adequate attention to diversity".
In this sense, the Ministry of Education adds that "these previous days" to the beginning of the new course "are logically to make the necessary adjustments".
