The Playa Honda Civic Center was full for the first Otaku Meeting held on Thursday afternoon, welcoming young people from all over the island, who share their passion for aesthetics and everything related to anime, manga, comics and cosplay.
Workshops, screenings, talks on the history of manga and a cosplay contest was the offer with which young people met in this first contact and meeting point. The day also included the participation of young people who came dressed up for the occasion.
This I Otaku Meeting is part of the Olivina Program organized by the Island Plan for Children, Adolescents and Youth 2014-2020 carried out by the seven municipalities of the island and the Island Council of Lanzarote.
Councilor David Rocío thanked "the great participation of young people and all the people who have promoted this initiative, which has been a success, being a starting point for future meetings."
