The Canary Islands Government demands that Vueling guarantee the return of the Islands' citizens "as soon as possible"

Jesús, the child who was flying between Tenerife North and Alicante and had to be diverted to Lanzarote due to a medical problem on the plane, is “stable”, according to the family on social networks.

The family has thanked the staff of the company, who say they acted “impeccably and always putting the well-being of their son first”, as well as the medical personnel who were on the plane and who were the first to attend to the minor.

“Jesús suffered an epileptic seizure, which due to his pathology we had been warned could happen at any time, although it had never happened to him until now, but he is already stable,” explains the family from the twitter @lamieldevida, where they tell the day to day of the little one's struggle to combat this disease.

Although it was initially reported that a flight had been diverted to Lanzarote due to a medical emergency, air traffic controllers clarified that two had to land in emergency on the island: the one that connected Tenerife North and Alicante with the two-year-old on board; and one that took off from East Midlands (United Kingdom) bound for Lanzarote, and landed with a passenger “unconscious, with breathing problems, and low blood pressure.”
