The educational community of the CEIP César Manrique Cabrera in Tahíche celebrated its Carnival party this Thursday on the center's sports court. In addition, this year a tribute was paid to outstanding women in history, on the occasion of Women's Day, which is commemorated this Friday, March 8.

The act was opened by the Infant students, aged between three and five years, who were assigned to women who had excelled in the musical genre such as Tina Turner, Celia Cruz and Lola Flores.

For their part, the first grade students of Primary paid tribute to the world-famous Canarian tightrope walker, Pinito del Oro, with a wide representation of the circus world; while those of second grade remembered the aviator Amelia Erhart. The first Spanish female journalist, Carmen de Burgos, was also recognized, in this case by the third grade students.

The scientist Marie Curie also had her space at the party with the fourth grade students, while the fifth grade students had the responsibility of representing the role of the primatologist Dian Fossey. The act was closed by the sixth grade students, who paid tribute to the painter Frida Khalo.

During each of the performances, the students were supported by their teachers, who had prepared the entire carnival display taking care of the smallest detail in terms of music and choreography. The objective set was thus achieved, which was supported by the support of the relatives who gathered at the school from early hours to support the entire educational community, who rewarded them with their applause during each of the performances.

Once the show was over, the students and their families enjoyed a refreshment that the families had prepared in their homes. With this Carnival party, the educational community of the CEIP César Manrique Cabrera in Tahíche joined Women's Day.
