The Department of Public Works, Roads and Works, has reported that it has initiated the administrative process to carry out the works to reduce noise levels in the San Francisco Javier neighborhood.
This is an open and simplified process, which has a base bidding budget of 94,728.70 euros fully financed by the agency. The works are expected to last two weeks.
Alfredo Mendoza, Minister of Public Works, Roads and Works, highlights that the objective of this work is to minimize the noise pollution of the residential area, caused by vehicles traveling on the LZ-3 road (Arrecife Ring Road). To this end, noise barriers will be installed in two sections of the road near the San Francisco Javier neighborhood.
The councilor stresses that the proximity of the road to the houses means that noise levels in the area are higher than certain limit values established by law, so the Cabildo de Lanzarote has decided to act quickly to avoid further damage to the residents.
For more information about this process, it will be available on the State Procurement Platform.
