The Cabildo Celebrates the EYE- Expo Young Entrepreneur of the School of Young Entrepreneurs

About thirty students from the 3rd Promotion of this innovative school received their diplomas, after eight intense months of training and learning.

EYE- Expo Young Entrepreneur of the School of Young Entrepreneurs of Lanzarote

The Assembly Hall of the Cabildo of Lanzarote hosted on the afternoon of Thursday, June 6, the EYE- Expo Young Entrepreneur in which 30 young people from Lanzarote who are part of the 3rd Promotion of the School of Young Entrepreneurs of Lanzarote participated.

After successfully completing the eight months of training and improving their entrepreneurial skills, their financial education, their creativity and developing their full potential, facing challenges and self-improvement challenges, the students demonstrated their skills before a jury formed by technicians from the Cabildo of Lanzarote and the acting councilors of Education and Transport, Carmen Rosa Márquez and Patricia Pérez, respectively.

Thus, during the EYE- Expo Young Entrepreneur, a free and open event, students had the opportunity to present 5 innovative ideas in which they have been working to provide solutions to social problems raised by the Cabildo of Lanzarote in different areas such as Tourism, Leisure, Education or Sports.

The Education team was the winner, as it provided the most innovative and real solution to the proposed challenge. In this case, the students presented a weekly schedule with different activities, such as the screening of short films, a music area or the performance of physical activities during recess time in the Institutes to promote coexistence among students.

At the end of the event, the students of this School received the diplomas that accredit them as entrepreneurs. For its part, the Cabildo of Lanzarote also received an accrediting diploma as a member of the National Network of Innovative Entities, a network that groups and recognizes those public entities committed to educational innovation and the integral development of young people in their community.

It should be remembered that the School of Young Entrepreneurs of Lanzarote, El Recetario Financiero®, is a pioneering initiative at the national level promoted by the Education area of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and conceived to promote the personal and professional development of young people between 14 and 18 years old, through the design thinking methodology "learning by doing" and gamification, a learning technique that transfers the mechanics of games to the educational-professional field in order to achieve better results.
