The Amma Tías residence for the elderly, managed by the Amma Group by administrative concession of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, has celebrated the third anniversary of its opening with various activities. These events have had the active participation of residents, family members and workers.
Among other events, there has been a play carried out by non-professional actors and actresses from the theater group of the Evangelical Church of the town and also resident excursions to the Parque de las Naciones in Puerto del Carmen and the Arrecife Market. In addition, there have been various musical performances by the senior group from Haría and the folk group "El Rubicón", and a joint lunch and anniversary party have been offered to residents and family members.
The Amma Tías elderly residence, located in the residential area of Los Lirios, opened its doors in April 2007. It has 92 residential places, many of them arranged with the Cabildo, and 20 more day center places. The Amma Group also manages the Amma Haría residence in Lanzarote and also has two other centers in the Canary Islands in Tejina and Santa Cruz, both on the island of Tenerife.
