La Villa de Teguise hosted the first Women's Fair last weekend, an event made by women, where products and services from the fields of fashion, aesthetics, beauty and leisure were presented. The exhibition was run by 17 exhibitors, who presented their products in a family atmosphere in which the attending public could enjoy parades, music, monologues, yoga and dance, as well as craft workshops.
The promoter of the event, Devorah Ventura, has made a "very positive" assessment of the fair, in which more than 100 people participated with the common objective of "promoting the business initiative of women". The event also sought to "stimulate" their "capacity for creation and to develop professional activities."
Ventura has thanked the collaboration of all those involved, and especially the Teguise City Council "for listening and supporting the social demand, in this case female, that manages and undertakes everything it does with great enthusiasm and that has managed to put together a very emotional and welcoming event in a magical environment such as the Santo Domingo Convent." There, Ventura hopes "to be able to repeat this experience until its consolidation."
