The big day of the festivities in Honor of the Patron Saint Santiago Apóstol arrived. It was around 12:30 on Sunday, July 25 when the images of Apostle Santiago and Our Lady of Carmen left their hermitage in Tahíche, accompanied by hundreds of neighbors and faithful. The procession reached the Santiago El Mayor Sociocultural Center, where the celebration of the Holy Mass took place in its large hall, which was enabled and showing its best finery.
Once the Eucharist was over, the images of Apostle Santiago and Our Lady of Carmen returned in procession to their hermitage.
A day before, on Saturday, July 24, "Las Rebeldes de Tahíche" arrived and once again surprised their followers with a play-back, which since its creation, has become one of the highlights of the Tahíche festive program. The social hall was too small for the number of followers who were able to enjoy the staging and the characters that paraded across the stage. Always with a spark of humor in each interpretation, the "Rebeldes de Tahíche" once again delighted the entire audience.
On Monday, July 26, the festivities in honor of Santiago Apóstol will end with the invitation to the town's Senior Citizens at 1:30 p.m. at the Socio-Cultural Center, the Celebration of the Eucharist in honor of Santa Ana, with the subsequent procession through the streets of Tahíche and to put the finishing touch to the celebrations the Theater group "El Riscadero" takes the stage to perform one of their plays at 9:00 p.m.
