The El Salinero Theater in Arrecife hosted this weekend with great success the first edition of the 'LZ Urban Contest', a music contest for urban talents.

The event, organized by the Culture and Youth areas of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, brought together a group of local artists who competed for a place in the prestigious Honor Canario Urban Fest, which will be held on June 22 at the Sports City in Arrecife and whose guest star will be the well-known artist Cruz Cafuné.

Both the Minister of Culture, Jesús Machín, and the Minister of Youth, Aroa Revelo, agreed to emphasize that "this initiative aimed to discover and promote the urban musical talent of Lanzarote, providing a unique platform for young artists to showcase their creativity and musical skills." The contest, which stood out for the diversity of styles and the vibrant energy that each participant brought to the stage, became an unforgettable experience for both attendees and artists.

After the performances, the jury, composed of experts from the musical and cultural field, selected the five finalists, Ismael 75, TN, Toti Sanz, CZ and Uellboy, who in addition to obtaining cash prizes will have the honor of being the opening act for the renowned artist Cruz Cafuné.

Jesús Machín and Aroa Revelo expressed their satisfaction with the success of this contest and the high level of the participants. Both highlighted "the importance of continuing to support and promote the young talent of Lanzarote, underlining the Cabildo's commitment to culture and music."
