Students from Playa Blanca school win a German short film contest

Five sixth-grade students from CEIP Playa Blanca have been winners of the 1st Short Film Competition of the Canarian Association of Germanists (ACG).

The students Aroa, Matteo, Nayra, Noa and Marc, together with their German teacher, Fernando Fernández Rivero, made a short film called “Deutsch ist wichtig für uns!” (German is important to us!), where they tell different reasons why learning German is important for their training and for their future.

This contest was divided into the categories of Primary, Secondary and Baccalaureate Education, with the Lanzarote students being the winners of the first one. In the Secondary category, the winners were students from IES Vigán (Fuerteventura), while in the Baccalaureate category, the winner was students from IES Vecindario (Gran Canaria).

In the coming weeks, the winners will receive educational materials related to online German teaching, as well as a trophy and a diploma.
