A 58-year-old man from Portugal had to be rescued early Sunday morning, December 14, after being found unconscious inside the cabin of a truck parked at the Muelle de Los Mármoles, in Arrecife.
The alert occurred at 02:50 hours and activated a level 2 service, with the intervention of the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium at the request of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC). Local Police, Port Police, and two ambulances, one basic life support and another advanced life support, were already at the scene.
The firefighters confirmed that the affected person, who was overweight, was unconscious, so they proceeded to extract him from the vehicle's cabin and place him on the advanced life support ambulance stretcher, leaving him in the care of the medical personnel for his transfer and medical attention
