The patron saint of Los Valles, San Antonio, was taken out this Monday, June 13, in procession through the streets of the town, so that he could bless his parishioners.
The mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort, accompanied the parade and invited citizens to take the opportunity to have fun at the events that are organized "thinking not only of the residents of Los Valles, but also of the people who want to come and learn about the traditions of the towns of Teguise".
The San Antonio festivities, which began on June 2, will come to an end next Sunday.
This Friday, the 17th, there will be a talk by the municipal agricultural technician, entitled "Potato Diseases", at 8:30 p.m. Afterwards, at 9:30 p.m., the dessert contest will be held.
On Saturday, starting at 10 a.m., the residents of Los Valles will be able to enjoy an excursion to the island's wineries and a beach day in La Garita, in Arrieta. At 7 p.m., there will be a chocolate party.
Finally, on Sunday the mass for the deceased will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Afterwards, at 2 p.m., there will be lunch for the members, to finish at 8:30 p.m., with the presentation of trophies from the tournaments that have been held during the festivities.
