The crowd gathered on the esplanade of the port of Playa Blanca responded enthusiastically to the whirlwind of unstoppable singing and dancing unleashed by Las K-Narias in the concert that the beautiful twins offered this Wednesday within the program of celebrations of the Festivities in honor of the Virgen del Carmen.
The expected return of Gara and Loida to Lanzarote fulfilled the expectations of the thousands of followers hooked on the musical versatility of a duo that in Playa Blanca showed that they move comfortably in the realms of reggaeton, salsa or merengue, captivating with their interpretation and choreography, supported by four spectacular dancers, and of course, in the charm that Las K-Narias provoke for their beauty and closeness to the public.
The Tenerife natives sang recent hits such as 'He who kills with iron', but also songs that took them to stardom such as 'Salsa con reggaeton', performed even twice at the request of a delirious audience. Among the catchy remixes, 'abusadora', 'No vale la pena', 'Me engañaste', 'En este infierno' and 'No te vistas', Las K-Narias swept through Playa Blanca with that characteristic swing that has allowed them to perform at prominent festivals, even in South America, such as the Barranquilla Carnival, where they were invited in February of this year.
After an hour of show, although the good stuff always feels short, Las K-Narias rested briefly backstage to attend to dozens of fans, young and old, who did not leave the port area without the souvenir photo. They, with a know-how to test, patiently attended to the last of the excited fans, the same ones who a few minutes before had enjoyed their music very much.
Another group invited by the Yaiza City Council to share the night of the Big Day of Playa Blanca was Sentimiento con arte. This quartet, on a promotional tour of the Islands and the peninsula, left a good taste in their mouths performing flamenco and fused rhythms. Vicente Vidal (flamenco guitar), Juan Caparrós (cajón), Raúl Obregón (backing vocals and percussion) and the conejero soloist Julio López, revealed their art to the public of Playa Blanca.
The south of the Island has more music and enjoyment to share. Without going any further, this Friday, the marathon of rock bands starring Los Salvapantallas, Ni un pelo de tonto and Boulevard arrives. The Playa Blanca Festival Commission and the Department of Festivities of the Yaiza City Council reiterate the invitation to the people of Lanzarote to have fun at the Fiestas del Carmen.
