One more year, the Department of Youth of the Teguise City Council, coordinated by Daniel Morales, has announced the awards of the "Young Creators Contest", which with this fourth edition is consolidated as a proposal in which the artists of the municipality find a space in which to exhibit their works of painting, photography, poetry, music and fashion.
On this occasion, the members of the jury decided that Pedro David Betancort Ramos would obtain the first prize in the painting category with the work "Pulsaciones". In second position was "La llave", by Virginie Michelle Jourdant.
In the photography category, Jeziel Martín Arrocha won the first prize with "Siempre encadenado", who also won the "Young Teguise Award 2014". Alejandra de Astica Zababa, with "Looks that speak when lips are silent", obtained the second award.
Hilario Acosta Rodríguez and Rafael Hernández obtained the first and second place with their works "The simplicity of your knives" and "Mar arriba", respectively. María Dolores Velamazán Martínez won in the fashion category with "Against wind and tide" and Silvia García was in second place with "¡Enjoy yourself!".
Among the participants, the third prize was awarded in the photography category, endowed with 150 euros, to Alvina Morales Sánchez and her work "Atardecer de altura" and another third prize for Sonia Tejedor Magallanes for her design "Brillos de primavera", in the fashion category. The decision in music was deserted as no work had been presented.
The Teguise City Council would like to thank the participants for their involvement in this "IV Young Creators Contest 2014", where each year they demonstrate "the artistic talent" that is breathed in La Villa and that makes it "the cultural reference of Lanzarote". In addition, from the Consistory they have invited the creators to be "attentive" to the proposals that from the different Councilors will be announced to promote the art and culture of the young people of the municipality.
