One of the children who was traveling in the boat that arrived on the coasts of Lanzarote this Thursday has tested positive for coronavirus. The rest of the 47 immigrants who were on the boat have been negative, according to health sources. Although at one point it was thought to do the PCR tests after seven days, it was finally decided to take them between this Thursday and Friday.

48 people were traveling in the boat, including 14 women and five children, most of them between 4 and 5 years old. After being treated at the pier, some were transferred to one of the warehouses set up by the Cabildo in Arrecife, managed by Cruz Roja and others, including the child who has tested positive for Covid, are staying in one of the centers for minors.
