The residents of Muñique honored their patron saint, Our Lady of Fatima, this Sunday with a procession that toured the town's central road in a festive atmosphere.
At 12 o'clock, the Holy Mass began, presided over by the parish priest of San Roque (Tinajo), Juan Antonio Artiles, which, as every year, was attended by numerous parishioners. Residents of Muñique, led by Vanessa Rijo, performed songs with Canarian overtones for the celebration of such a special day, which were also joined by the voices of the devotees who filled the town's church.
After the mass, the procession took place with the image of Our Lady of Fatima, which toured the town's central road on the shoulders of the residents, to return to the church again amidst songs and cheers.
