The residents of Guatiza have sent a letter addressed to Canal Gestión in which they have thanked "everyone for their support so that the towns in the north of the island lack water."

This is the complete letter:

"It is nice to live in a town where you lack water at least two or three days a week and not even the cistern is enough to live. It is nice to see that those who live in towns like Costa Teguise, Puerto del Carmen, Puerto Calero or Playa Blanca never lack water, neither for their houses nor for their swimming pools.

It is nice to know that even when you call by phone to find out when the water will return to your house, they tell you a day and time that they do not respect. It is nice not to be respected by you, because we are second-class citizens, or perhaps class Z.

In a letter sent to the media, they have pointed out that "it is very nice to know that you do not care about the families that have to wash with bottles of water, while there are those who bathe in one of the 1,000 swimming pools of the hotels.

It is still thanks to those who hold political meetings and proclamations and then in the practical part we always lack water, while you never lack it.

It is always nice to know that you do not count for anything, but that you are only a meter where the consumption (increasingly lower) of water is read and then the bills are sent.

It is really nice to live in a place like this thanks to you and everything you do for us users, every day.

Thank you, it's very nice."
