Some lyrics as ironic and critical as they are nostalgic, conquered the jury of the Adult Murgas Contest Final of the Arrecife Carnival last night at the Fairgrounds. The murga Las Vacilonas were the winners of the night, on the one hand they received the first prize for lyrics, music and interpretation from the mayor of Arrecife Eva de Anta and the councilor of Festivities and Tourism David Duarte.
Las Vacilonas also took the stage to receive the second prize in fantasy, design and costumes, this time it was the senator for Lanzarote Joel Delgado who presented them with the award, and the best presentation award received by the councilor of Commerce Isabel Mesa.
The Criticón award went to Las Inadaptadas and it was the president of the Island Council, Pedro San Ginés, who was in charge of presenting it.
On the other hand, the murga Los Simplones were awarded with the first prize in design, fantasy and costumes by the councilor David Duarte and the Queen of the Arrecife Carnival 2018 María Cedrés.
The rest of the awards were:
2nd lyrics, music and interpretation: Los Simplones, the award was presented by the councilor of Sports Manuel Hernández.
3rd lyrics, music and interpretation: Los Tabletúos, by the hand of the councilor Isabel Mesa
3rd prize fantasy, design and costumes: Los Titi Roys, the councilor Tomás Fajardo presented the award.
The gala took place with total normality in a Fairground full to the brim that had the special performance of the Trío Zapatista.
Los Simplones were the first to perform, the second Las Inadaptadas, then it was the turn of Titi Roys, Enraladas, Los Tabletúos and Vacilonas.
